La Yole is a very large commercial run site. It has a lot of activates with in the park. This was our first time in France and we were not disappointed. You do need to drive down early as the traffic to this region of France can get very busy. It’s a bit like travelling to Cornwall.
Once you are here you are treated to a very nice welcome from the staff. Our pitch was a bit small but we did not intend staying at the pitch for long. Electric, water and waste on each pitch. There were plenty of toilet and showers which where regally cleaned.
The site had a very good shop and fresh fruit & veg market. On most days there was also a fresh fish stall. There is also a cloths shop in case you forgot your Speedo’s or lilo. Next to the shop is an excellent bakery serving cake, bread and croissant which can be ordered for pick up in the morning.
There are a number of food takeaway’s bars and a very nice restaurant. During the high season there is live entertainment on the main stage. We were very lucky to have a very good music show when we were here followed by night time fireworks. Kids are entertained with the kids clubs and a number of play ground activities.
There is a very good swimming pool for all abilities including slides and Jacuzzi. The pool bar also offers food and drinks.
La Yole is also an established winery. They have a store on site selling their own wine and local wines. You can top up lemonade bottles with wine from the shop for a very low price. So if you like wines bring some empty lemonade bottles.
From the site it is a small walk to the town where there is a number of bars and restaurants. Here you will also find the beach which is an excellent sandy beach. There is also a lidl in the town which is great for getting cheap food and drink.
We did not explore much of the area as the site and beach provided all we wanted for a sun holiday. Will hope to come back in the future.
