Monks Cottage if a beautifully kept caravan site not far from the historic market town of Faversham. The site has electric hook up water/waste and chemical disposal point. A toilet and shower block is also provided. The lawn is kept immaculately cut and the hedge rows are carefully pruned and arched. Just outside the site up the hill you can enter the surrounding woodlands, which is an excellent place for kids to play and dogs to be walked. If you follow this woodland path to the end you will come out at the local town green. Alongside the green is the Red Lion which has just been renovated in 2017. This pub serves very good food and also allows dogs inside.
At the top of the road you can catch the 666 bus which runs every hour to Faversham. Faversham is well known for its market days, food and music festivals. So pick the right week end and you could have a festive time.
The link to the left will provide you with a very good walk to the Rose and Crown pub. This is a 3 mile walk there and 3 miles back, which will take a couple of hours to complete. In 2017 we completed this walk for the second time and you can see the photos below. Please check the times on the pubs website link to see what time they are doing food so you are not disappointed. This is a old fashion pub serving great food and real ales and is situated on the edge of Perry wood, so if you want to explore more this is a great place to be. Dogs are also very much welcome at the time we went, but please check this is still the case before you go.
