The Vineyard pub is part of the Elite pub group, nestled by the historic Lamberhurst vineyards. The pub allows free stopovers in their car park when you are dinning in. This is ideally located for visiting Bewl water and the local vineyards within the beautiful Kent country. We stopped here for one night on our way to Beachy Head. The car park is very large and we stayed in the Vineyard car park adjacent overlooking to field of grape vines. The surrounding area is very beautiful and typical of a Kent hop and wine area. The pub offers excellent food and it also has a great selection of real ales. It also has a very good size garden with a small play area for the kids. The pub also provides a selection of walks that you can do but at the time we arrived it was too late for us, so we did a small walk to the Brown Trout using foot paths. This is another excellent pub which will allow you to bring your dog in whilst you enjoy a nice pint real ale. If you are going to walk up the road back to the Vineyard be careful as there is no foot path and this is a very busy road. It is best to follow the foot path to the right as you leave the pub. If you are new to this region then it is well worth a visit to Bewl water for a picnic and a river boat trip. This is another pub to add to our blog and we are very grateful for them to let us stay.
